I like the yellowing of the petals near the upper right, which gives a break from the shades of pink. The pink is also broken up nicely by the light and shadow - the folds give the flower a natural look. The lines on the grain of the table allow the eyes to remain focused on the flower. That black spot - I love it when I find a small insect on them. Because of the green along the grain of the tables, the black spot and the yellow wilting spot, the picture is honest and accountable to the flower. Rather than being the perfect flower, the beauty of this photograph is that the flower is imperfect, a real flower. The table reminds of this too. I like the bends of the petal. The image was captured well. The idea has been done before, yet this one stands out. The one thing missing in my mind is just a spot of dew or piece of spider webbing.
